The Clinical Observation of the Effect of Acupoints Injection on Chronic Atrophic Gastritis
Objective:
To observe the effect of using acupoints injection on chronic atrophic gastritis, which is put in contrast with western medicine Weining granule preparation.
Methods:
103 patients were divided into 2 groups. One group included 52 patients for acupoints injection, the other (51 cases) for treatment with Weining granule preparation:
(1) Treatment group: The selected points were Zusanli (ST 36), Weishu (BL 21) and Ganshu (BL 18). Astragalas Root injection and Chinese Angeliaz Root injection was used 10ml injector and 5# syringe needle were employed. The doctor drew 4ml of each solutioin mentioned above (8ml in total) into the injectior and shook to mix the 2 solutions fully. Each point was injected with 2ml solution. Acupoints on the left and right sides were used alternatively. The injection was done every 2 days, 3 months constituted 1 course of treatment.
(2) Control group: each patient was given 1 envelope of Weining granule preparation each time and took the medicine 3 times per day. Motilium, maxolon, etc. were prescribed according to the symptoms, 3 months constituted 1 course of treatment.
Results:
The criterion of therapeutic effect of the combination of TCM and western medicine on chronic atrophic gastritis established by the Specialized Gastrointestinal Disease Committee of the National Association of Combination of TCM & WM was used for assessment of therapeutic effects. In the treatment group of 52 patients, the total effective rate is 98.07% in terms of symptomatic improvement, 86.53% according to gastroscopy, 82.59% according to pathological examination and the total effective rate is 90.38%. In the control group, the corresponding data are 84.31%, 64.70%,54.90% and 72.54%. Through statistical analysis, it results in significant or very significant differences between the 2 groups, which suggests that there is a better curative effect in the treatment group than in the control group.
Conclusion:
The injection of Astraglas Root solution and Chinese Angeliaz Root solution strengthens and prolongs the stimulation to the acupoints, at the same time enhances the absorption and metabolism of the medicine. Acupoints and medicine promote each other. therefore, a good effect is achieved.
