According to China's "one belt, one road" development strategy, and the overall prospects in the field of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), we are initiating and funding a group of TCM health care trade projects to go to the world. With the unique therapeutic indications and excellent efficacy of acupuncture and TCM remedies, we are aimed to bring good treatment experiences to our patients and connotation to our peers. Our goal is to play a leading role of “a point radiating to an area”, which we hope to make traditional Chinese medicine stand firmly in the world.

Recently, in response to invitation by the First Inaugural Jilin Business Conference, Professor Decheng Chen, a world-renowned acupuncture specialist and the President of the American Chinese Chamber of Commerce in New York, returned to hometown, and gave academic lectures to a vast of Chinese Medicine students.

The general direction of Chinese Medicine, is to go to outside world, not only human talents, but also Chinese Medicine and herbs. So the first factor is human. With humans working abroad can it become possible for Chinese Medicine to be known to the people of the world, and to get recognized by Western societies. Previously only acupuncture was recognized, and now it should be followed by traditional Chinese herbal medicine. Like our home province Jilin, there is a rich medicinal resources in Mountain Changbai area, which in the future can be developed for export trade, and it can drive a large number of industries to follow up, especially for the economic revitalization in Jilin area, which should be helpful.

In a large lecture hall of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the journalist saw nearly one thousand students listening carefully to Professor Chen’s report. From time to time the students interacted with Professor Chen. The unique Motion Acupuncture therapy created by Dr. Chen was especially impressive to the students. 

Sun Heming, a 2013 graduate student of the School of Acupuncture and Tuina, Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said: “After listening to Prof. Chen's two-hour speech, I felt very excited that Dr. Chen for the first time proposed Motion Acupuncture, which has made a great move for the whole medical community, as well as the whole mankind. Combined with our sports medicine and anatomy, such integration can have an even better effect.

Ma Dehui, a first-year graduate student of the School of Acupuncture, Moxibustion and Tuina, Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said: “Firstly, this briefing is a gospel to us, which has allowed us to broaden our perspective and then be able to know traditional Chinese medicine abroad, and its research, which has also achieved advanced progress abroad. Such an exchange is very good if we really have the opportunity to go abroad and learn. I think it plays a great role in promoting the progress of us.
